Adding Links

The process of adding more links to this site began yesterday. A lot of links were added. There are many more to add. I will continue my habit of  listing a link on more than one page if it is appropriate.

I will be spending as much time as possible working on it in the upcoming days. Please remember that it is a work in progress.

Thank you for your patience.

Almost Finished

Dead links and some minor corrections have been made to about three fourths of the pages on this site.  Because I am working this weekend for my employer, this project is on hold. I will be back Monday with plans to finish checking the remaining pages for dead links by the end of the day.

May each of you have a good and safe weekend!

Pot Scrubbers

Now and then I get comments from people asking for directions how to make pot scrubbers from nylon or tulle. In the few weeks I have  received one such link and found two more. All sets of instructions show how to start with a piece of netting or tulle.

Here they are for your use :

2011 Sticks, Hooks and Shuttles Calendar

2011 Sticks, Hooks and Shuttles is a new calendar available from the Pisgah Yarn and Dyeing Company. It’s sole purpose is to support two worthy charities.

25% will be donated to CarePartners in Asheville, NC . They are in need of a piece of equipment that will assist victims of spinal cord injury and stroke. 75% will go to Alexandra’s House in Kansas City MO. The house they are in has a leaky roof in need of repair.

This project has taken a year to complete and involves the effort of many people including designers, pattern testers, graphics artists and photographers. Each of these persons and others have given freely of their time, knowledge and skills to make this calendar a reality.

Supplies are limited.

It is rare that I support a project. This is one exception. I can promise you that the funds will all go to charity.  The calendar will not disappoint you.  It will be money well spent.

Illusion Knitting

Good Morning!

The Illusion Knitting Cloth and Knit Cloths pages have  had  links to  cloths written by the author of Goodnight Gram added to them . She writes about her life and shares patterns of her own design with us in a delightful way. It is not place to reveal what she say, so if you have a chance, you might want to stop by to see what she has to say. I did and was not disappointed.

May your day be Blessed!

Good Morning

The past couple of days have been super busy. One of the reasons for that is because I took lots of time to update and add lot of links to this site. There was also time to reply to several comments.

I also added a page by splitting the Towels page into  Towels-Crochet and  Towels-Knit. My motivation was to make this site easier to use. If it doesn’t help, please let me know.

There are probably more dead links, for which I apologize. I will be looking for these as much as possible. If you see some that have been missed, please let me know so they can be corrected or removed.

My files are bursting with new links  to add here. There are not enough hours in my days to do as much as I want on this site. For some reason, my employer expects me to work when schedule; my family needs my attention, I need a bit of sleep; and a bit of time to knit or crochet is also needed.  I learned a long time ago it is better for me  to be busy than bored. :)

Have a great week!!

Patterns Added

Several patterns have been added to the Knit Cloths. Knit Cloths-Round and Lacy Cloths pages. If  cloth fits more than one category, links are added to more than one page to the best of my human ability.
