Yahoo-Groups been used by other orgs I’ve subscribed to and it has been very helpful.
Awkward email mishaps are reduced and I think it may be “safer”.
Also much easier for members to relate back and forth.

The difference is the type and quality of the cotton being used. The cotton P&C used had longer fibers, called long staple cotton and grown in the USA. The yarn used in the cotton from Canada has shorter fibers and is less soft. i agree with you about not liking it.

I bought the P&C, made in NC, yarn for years. I just began buying the stuff made in Canada—it is very different—doesn’t absorb like the stuff that had been made in NC—not sure what’s different, process or cotton quality— but I don’t like it:(

I have knobs on my drawer where I hang my towel in the kitchen. The stores used to sell them with ties at the top. I saw a pattern with ties, but they are too far apart. Know of any patterns or suggestions?

I am trying to find the correct pattern for a knitted dishcloth that has small holes around the edges. I can get the first half with k2 yo knit rest of row, but when I come to the half way mark and try to follow the directions I have, I am unable to decrease properly and the cloth takes on a really wierd shape. Can someone give me the correct directions? Thanks

Sad to see them go as I never got to go to the outlet store and yet I live so close. From what I understand, they’ve been bought by Spinrite which makes Paton, Bernat, and Lily yarns. Lily Sugar & Creme is the main competing product. Sugar & Creme is competitive on price, I’ve never seen it over $2US.

From my experience, Peaches & Creme and Sugar & Cream are completely interchangeable. I liked buying P&C as it was an american product, made right here in my home state… but S&C is made in Canada, which isn’t too shabby.

I dont’t know anything about the nylon netting. Does it come on a spool? Or do you have to buy it by the yard. Do they also have a nylon yarn that goes with it.

Hi Nancy,
See my response above..where it states:
A few years ago, I adapted the dishcloth pattern. On the first half I stitch into the back of the 3rd stitch of every row to increase (this is to replace the K2together, Yarn over and K2 together ) for the 2nd half of the dishcloth I knit the 3 and 4th stitches together.

I like this much better as you don’t get the holes around the edge of the cloths.

Try it you might like it.

Okay–I am very confused! I just went to the Pisgah site (http://peaches-creme.com/) and I see an announcement about selling off some of their stock, but I don’t see anything about them shutting their doors. Are they going to “go away forever”? Or what? Do you know for sure? How can I find out?

i am wondering if you can tell me how to knit this pattern without the holes and also make the edges real neat. I use this all the time and love it but would like something a little different. I use to have a pattern for one without the holes and it came out really nice.
