The Time Has Come–Finally

Before proceeding, I sincerely hope all of you are well and safe. I don’t want to dwell on this, but I acknowledge that this time in our world’s history is scary. One of the things I know is that hard times eventually end…As will the events that are now happening.

My purpose for writing today is to tell you a bit about my life. The past two years have been challenging personally and professionally. A lot of energy has been used to get through them. This is fine because when the energy, physical, emotional and spiritual, was needed, it was there. As was the support from others.

About a month ago, at the urging of my husband and siblings, I made decided to retire from my professional endeavors. It was a bittersweet decision even though it was time to do so. The essence of this is that two weeks ago I officially retired. This is proving to be a wonderful choice. There is now the time and energy to do all the things that have been placed on hold for a long time.

Please bear with me while I digress for a few moments. This site began in 1996 as a blog on another platform to provide a place to keep track of free dishcloths patterns that I found on the internet. It was called :Norma’s Needlework Adventures….Those were some fun and interesting times. I won’t bore you a lot of history except to tell you that it was a time before cell phones, WiFi and DSL. Still, it was a far cry from the days of my original Apple 11C Computer .

This brings me to the present. After two weeks of retirement, life is settling down to allow me some time to do some of the activities I really want to do. One of those things is to work on this web site. There are a lot of things to do that will improve and make this site more current. The changes I have in mind will also hopefully make it more useful. Last, but not least, there is now more time to be available to pay attention and respond to all of you.

Thank you for listening…Be well and be safe.
