The  Bath Sets Page was updated today.  There were several  dead links from sites which are no longer available or which have had patterns removed from them.  I will be scouring the internet in the upcoming days and weeks for more links to add.

Please remember to make a copy of patterns you like just in case the original site  or the patterns  do not remain available for your use. It is a good idea to save a copy on paper and in a document stored on  at least one safe place such as a backup drive or flash drive. When doing this, it is advisable to include the name of the designer of the pattern; the name of the  website, and the web address ( URL ) of the website. This  insures that you can give  proper credit to the designer when making an item or telling others about the pattern. In addition, having this information available will make it easier to locate the pattern online in case there is a problem with the website. It will also  help you locate the designer if needed at a future date.

Just in case you ever do need to look for a pattern that is no longer available for some reason, there is hope. By using the WayBack machine feature of the Web Archive you can type in the web address and search for the site.  When doing this, be sure ” http:// ” appears only one time in the search bar. If it is there more than once  your search stands a good chance of not succeeding. Please be aware that according to this page  there can be a six to twenty four month delay in a site being accessible through this service.

Updating

I am working on getting as much updating done in the next few days as possible. I will be working on the site as time allows to add new links and to correct or remove dead ones.

Good Morning

The past couple of days have been super busy. One of the reasons for that is because I took lots of time to update and add lot of links to this site. There was also time to reply to several comments.

I also added a page by splitting the Towels page into  Towels-Crochet and  Towels-Knit. My motivation was to make this site easier to use. If it doesn’t help, please let me know.

There are probably more dead links, for which I apologize. I will be looking for these as much as possible. If you see some that have been missed, please let me know so they can be corrected or removed.

My files are bursting with new links  to add here. There are not enough hours in my days to do as much as I want on this site. For some reason, my employer expects me to work when schedule; my family needs my attention, I need a bit of sleep; and a bit of time to knit or crochet is also needed.  I learned a long time ago it is better for me  to be busy than bored. 🙂

Have a great week!!

Patterns Added

Several patterns have been added to the Knit Cloths. Knit Cloths-Round and Lacy Cloths pages. If  cloth fits more than one category, links are added to more than one page to the best of my human ability.

You can now subscribe to this blog by clicking the link at the bottom of the side bar on the right.

Header and Hearts

Since starting this site, there have been questions about what patterns are used in the cloths on the header. The one on the left is Grandma’s Favorite and can be found here or here.

The pattern on the right is called the Ballband Dishcloth. It is named this because it was originally found on the wrapper, or ball band of Peaches & Creme cotton yarn.

You can find the pattern in a couple of different places. The first link below is to the original pattern.

It can also be found in the Mason Dixon Knitting Book  by Kay Gardiner and Ann Shayne.

There are variations of both patterns. The links to some of these can be foundon other pages of this site:

More links are being added to the page: Heart Cloths today as well as to other pages.

Have a great day!
